About Me
I am a hydro-meteorologist interested in understanding how water and climate interact in complex mountain environments such as the Himalayas. My work focuses on hydrometeorology, climate extremes, and climate change, with an emphasis on how these processes connect across the atmosphere, land surface, and society.
I am particularly interested in how hydro-meteorological systems respond to changing climate conditions how precipitation patterns, evapotranspiration, and extreme events evolve, and how these changes translate into real impacts such as floods and water stress.
I completed my MSc in Hydrology and Meteorology at Tribhuvan University, where I worked on analyzing historical trends and future projections of extreme climate in Nepal. Using observed datasets and CMIP6 climate models, I explored changes in extreme climate indices and their implications for Nepal.
Alongside my academic work, I have gained practical experience in hydro-meteorological data analysis, field measurements, and flood forecasting systems. This includes working with time-series datasets, conducting discharge and cross-section surveys, and supporting operational forecasting and early warning efforts. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of how modeling and data analysis can support real world decision making.
